By creating an account and using Troke Kids, you agree to these Terms. The app is a private family-use platform with separate profiles for guardians, caregivers, and children. Please read them carefully before registering your family.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
- The main account must be created by an adult with authority to manage the family data in the app.
- If you do not agree with these Terms or the Privacy Policy, do not use the service.
- Using the app with child profiles assumes that the guardian has authority to configure and manage those profiles.
- The current guardian onboarding flow records versioned acceptance of the active Terms and Privacy Policy in the backend.
2. How the service works
Troke Kids helps families organize routines, tasks, and rewards in a private family-group environment.
Available profiles:
- Guardian: manages the family, configures tasks, rewards, controls, and permissions.
- Caregiver: acts within the scope defined by the guardian and, when applicable, only for the children assigned to them.
- Kid: uses Kid Mode and follows their own progress within the rules defined by the adults.
3. Security and user responsibilities
- The guardian must protect their password, PIN, and other mechanisms used to access Parent Mode.
- Improper use by third parties who obtained those credentials because of the user's own failure is not the responsibility of Troke Kids.
- The guardian must carefully review which profiles have access to approvals, photo proof, and family settings.
4. Children's data and photo proof
- The app was designed to reduce the direct collection of unnecessary child identifiers.
- Kid profiles use nicknames, avatar, and functional progress in the app.
- When the optional photo-proof feature is enabled by the guardian, the child may attach an image to prove task completion.
- Proof media is intended for review by authorized adults in the same family group.
- In the current flow, the backend tries to delete the media right after approval; pending and rejected media may also be removed later by operational retention routines.
- Enabling this feature goes through a specific consent/versioning record in the backend for the responsible family.
5. Subscriptions, platforms, and third parties
- Some features may depend on a paid plan or subscription.
- Purchases, restores, and checks may involve the Apple App Store and/or Google Play, depending on the platform used.
- Temporary unavailability of external providers, cloud infrastructure, or app stores may impact part of the service.
6. Bugs, support, and stability
- The app may evolve continuously and, like any software, may present bugs, temporary outages, or unexpected behavior.
- The bug-report mechanism is intended for technical diagnosis and operational support. When the guardian sends this report, it may include issue description, category, version and build, platform, screen or route, language, and minimum technical app context for investigation; it does not automatically send a screenshot.
- When using support or bug reports, do not include unnecessary sensitive data in free text.
- We reserve the right to correct, adjust, restrict, or discontinue features for technical, security, compliance, or operational reasons.
7. Deletion, termination, and suspension
- The guardian may delete family records within the functionality available in the app.
- Authenticated guardians and caregivers can start deletion of their own account within the functionality available in the adult area of the app.
- Before confirmation, the app shows a preview of the deletion impact. If the account belongs to the last active guardian in a family, deletion may close that entire family.
- Deletion of history and other data may require additional processing, anonymization, or minimum retention to meet legal, security, and operational obligations.
- Account deletion does not automatically cancel subscriptions in the Apple App Store or Google Play; cancellation must be managed directly in the relevant store.
- We may suspend or limit access in cases of misuse, fraud, violation of these Terms, security risk, or legal obligation.
8. Intellectual property and permitted use
- The app, its code, visual identity, product logic, proprietary content, and integrations belong to their respective owners.
- You receive a limited, personal, revocable, and non-transferable license for household, non-commercial use of the app.
- You may not attempt to exploit vulnerabilities, bypass plan restrictions, reverse engineer the service, or use the app unlawfully.
9. Changes to these terms
- We may update these Terms to reflect legal, technical, commercial, or product changes.
- When a change is relevant, we intend to inform the guardian through an in-app notice, a document update, and, when applicable, other account channels.
- Mandatory re-acceptance may be required when product implementation demands it for a new current version of the documents or sensitive flows.
