Family roles in Troke Kids

Troke Kids does not treat every family member as the same thing. The experience was designed with different roles to protect the adult routine and simplify child use.

Guardian

Configures the family and holds the most sensitive controls

Creates kids, defines chores and rewards, protects the adult area with PIN, and follows approvals and history.

  • Creates and organizes the family group
  • Manages chores, rewards, and rules
  • Defines access and sensitive controls

Caregiver

Collaborates within a limited scope

Helps with the family routine without becoming a full app administrator.

  • Acts only inside the allowed scope
  • Can be linked to specific children
  • Exists to expand collaboration, not to blur permissions

Child

Uses a child flow separated from the adult area

Sees what needs to be done, follows balance, and requests rewards inside a simpler experience.

  • Does not navigate sensitive settings
  • Follows chores, balance, and requests
  • Uses photo proof only if the family enables it

How this appears in daily use

Roles exist to organize responsibility, not to multiply screens without a reason.

When there is only one guardian

The app still works for a smaller family: one adult structures the group and the child uses Kid Mode to carry out the routine.

When a caregiver joins

Adult collaboration becomes possible without opening every control in the app. That reduces friction without breaking hierarchy.

When the family grows

More kids and more adults make role clarity even more important. That is one reason several features live in Premium.

Why it matters

Separating roles improves clarity, safety, and quality of use.

Prevents child self-approval

The child does not fall into the same flow used by adults to review and approve chores.

Reduces adult confusion

Caregiver and guardian do not need to mean the same thing inside the product.

Supports a more realistic routine

Each person sees what is needed to fulfill their role inside the family.

Where Premium enters

Plans also affect family architecture.

Caregiver and additional guardian are part of Premium because they expand adult collaboration and the operational depth of the family inside the app.

  • More than 2 kids in the group
  • Caregiver and additional guardian
  • Weekly child schedule
  • Premium features tied to family flow

After understanding the roles, the next step is seeing how the product protects that structure.

The safety page explains in plain language how PIN, the adult area, photo proof, and privacy support this architecture.
